Here’s a little fact that may surprise you: Many of the pregnant mothers I photograph are at some point hesitant about having their photographs taken. While some take to pregnancy very well, it’s not uncommon to feel uncomfortable in your changing body. And as someone who’s been there (twice) and done that (twice), I know that bloating and dry skin and general discomfort are real issues to contend with. But let me fill you in on a not-so-secret secret. You and your growing child? Beautiful. There’s a glow about you during pregnancy that can never be recreated. Right now you’re a type of beautiful that is literally impossible to replicate. Unless, of course, you become pregnant again! The light from within, the fact that your best friend is developing inside of you, all of that makes for some of the most beautiful images you could imagine. What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t let your discomfort stop you from getting maternity photos. You may regret it if you don’t have those images to look back on in the years down the road. Once we actually begin your maternity session, I’ll make sure you’re absolutely comfortable. We’ll try all sorts of different poses and angles and you’ll have ample time to change into different outfits, as well. And I’ll only photograph what you want captured. I can do any style you are looking for. I can do soft and romantic images or vibrant and splashy shots. We’ll definitely customize everything to your needs and desires.
